Isabelle Bonnal Director of National Education of Monaco received a delegation from our Club (of which she was President in 2000) who gave her a check of 6,000 euros for the Rainier III Preventorium in Madagascar.
The complex, which currently houses 65 children suffering from rickets, was created to celebrate the 700 years of the Grimaldi dynasty in 1997: the Sovereign Prince of Monaco insisted that all humanitarian associations in the Principality unite for a common project.
The Preventorium consists of a 70-bed dormitory, a school, a canteen, an infirmary, a chapel and the living quarters of the Congregation of the Missionary Carmelite Sisters who take care of health and pedagogical programs.
